Revelation 1:7-8
There's a lot to the prologue of Revelation, but these two verses caught me the most, seeming to be the embodiment of the whole of Revelation. Behold, he is coming... The Almighty, the Alpha and the Omega.
I know it's not perfect, and I don't pretend that anything is set in stone, but God seems to be fond of making something beautiful out of something imperfect - like each of us. Maybe the point of these paintings is not that they're perfect, but rather simply true.
